Northern Lights stands among the most famous strains of all time, a pure indica known for its purple buds and cherished for pacifying the mind and relaxing the muscles – aka “comfortable laziness.” It’s no surprise that this is our #1 recommendation for a good night’s sleep. Try Northern Lights while winding down your day to reach a mellow contentment.

Pro tip: Our CBD carts are also boosted with ~10% CBG. How come we use high CBG vape oil? CBG vapes have amazing benefits such as strengthening the function of anandamide (“the pleasure molecule”), improving both stress and inflammatory responses,  and supporting focus. CBG cartridges have no psychotropic effects, so they will not give you a high.

TribeTokes is a pioneer of the “clean vaping movement.” Back in 2016, we noticed that most CBD vape oil on the market was cut with additives that are no bueno for your lungs – we wanted to do better, and our customers agree that we nailed it!

Why we love it

We noticed that most CBD vape oil on the market is cut with MCT oil or other additives that are no bueno for your lungs, and we wanted to do better. This Northern Lights strain cart contains full spectrum CBD distillate and natural plant terpenes for a subtle, satisfying taste and the “entourage effect” benefits of indica, sativa and hybrids. Available in half or full grams.

Our hardware has a ceramic core for clean vaping, and comes with a rubber stopper and bottom screw for clean storage and to prevent any leaking in transit. The “510 Thread” bottom screw works universally with most batteries on the market, in addition to all TribeTokes batteries.

Ingredients

We pride ourselves on having only 2 ingredients in our all natural CBD Vapes:

  • Full Spectrum CBD Distillate: Hemp-Derived, Grown & Processed in the USA
  • Plant-Based Terpenes

Each cartridge is on average ~75% cannabinoids (375 mg) and 10%+ terpenes, and the balance are the other oils/extracts from the hemp plant.

Here is the average cannabinoid breakdown per cartridge ( % / mg per full gram of oil):

  • 54.5% CBD / 546 mg
  • 10.6% CBG / 106 mg
  • 4.7% CBDv / 46 mg
  • 0.2% THC / 2 mg
  • 0.2% CBC / 2 mg
  • 0.08% CBN / 0.8 mg

Each strain profile is extracted from living plants, so there may be slight variance in color as TribeTokes does not use stabilizing chemicals in its production process. Color variance has no effect on quality.

All products contain zero or less than 0.3% THC.

LAB RESULTS

You should always know what you’re putting in your lungs!  We test our vapes with an independent third party laboratory for potency, heavy metals, residual solvents, pesticides, mycotoxins and microbial.

When you purchase your vape it will have a sticker with the lab results on it.  We post the lab results from the most recent batch in circulation on our site, please see: Certificates of Analysis

What’s In Your Vape? Things You Need To Know

To be blunt, we need to talk about what’s in vape cartridges. Too many THC cartridges and CBD cartridges use additives and thinning agents that are potentially damaging to our bodies. These dubious additives have been linked to a series of medical issues from sore throats to popcorn lung. While additional data is needed for conclusions, findings not only urge for further testing but also for these findings to be considered in policymaking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Northern Lights a Sativa or Indica?

Northern Lights is a cross between two Indica strains: the Afghani and Thai. This makes the Northern Lights a predominantly Indica strain. Or, more accurately, Northern Lights is 95% Indica. The strain’s THC levels lie between 16% and 21%. CBD content is negligible. And like most Indica strains, Northern Lights produces essentially the same effects:

  • relaxation
  • increased appetite
  • body high
  • euphoria
  • and an overall sense of well-being.

The origins of the strain are unclear, with a breeder known only as “The Indian” claiming to be the first to develop the breed. The Northern Lights first became available to the public in the 1980s through the efforts of Nevil Schoenmakers. The strain finally made its way to Northern America in the 1990s.

Is Northern Lights a strong strain?

Many old-school marijuana users refer to the Northern Lights as the two-hit-quit strain, primarily for its immediate effects.

By today’s standards, this Indica strain is far from the top in terms of being the strongest. Stacked against modern hybrids, the Northern Lights pales in comparison, containing an average THC content of just 18%. At best, the potency of the strain can be classified as medium.

But for most recreational users and patients, the THC level of the strain is more than enough for the relaxing high they seek. When it comes to balancing potency with old-school flavors, very few strains come close to the Northern Lights, making it a perennial favorite.

Is Northern Lights strain good for sleep?

When it comes to inducing sleep, Northern Lights ranks as one of the most highly recommended weed strains, primarily for its potent THC, Pinene, and Myrcene content.

It takes just a few puffs to lull users off to dreamland, away from their worries and fears.

If you’ve been struggling to get a good night’s rest, an Indica strain like Northern Lights is your best bet. These strains contain THC, which is highly sedative.

The presence of terpenes like Pinene and Myrcene also aids in your quest for sleep while providing other benefits like reduction of stress, anxiety, and pain.

Is Northern Lights strain good for anxiety?

Because of its fast-acting effects, Northern Lights is often recommended to combat anxiety. The Indica strain works best when your anxious feelings start to go out of hand.

Generally speaking, Indica strains are considered better for managing anxiety instead of Sativa strains.

Like other Indica strains, Northern Lights produces a euphoric effect that calms the mind and body. On the other hand, Sativa strains have psychoactive effects that can cause your mind to increase its activity, potentially compounding feelings of anxiety. Sativa strains are ideal for people looking for immediate relief from their symptoms.

How long does the Northern Lights high last?

Like any other THC-rich strain, Northern Lights delivers a high that lasts around 1-6 hours, depending on several factors. Even with the addition of new strains into the market, the Northern Lights remains one of the most popular Indica strains, achieving legendary status.

This award-winning strain is popular among recreational users, patients, and even growers.

Recreational users enjoy her for producing what they refer to as a bubble of happiness and calm. Patients use the strain to manage symptoms of physical and mental disorders like physical pain and depression.

This Indica strain is relatively easy to cultivate and quite hardy, able to withstand the onslaught of pests and diseases that can damage other strains. It is also a favorite among breeders who want to produce high-quality strains from highly-predictable parents.
