What Is Inside the King Louis XIII Cart
One gram of King Louis XIII live resin and the terpenes that came off the same plant, in hardware that runs cool enough to keep them. On a gas-forward strain the hardware matters more than usual, because heat takes the gas first.
🔥
Live Resin THCa
A full gram, frozen the day it came down rather than dried, which is how the gas note survives.
🍋
d-Limonene
Leads the profile even here. On a gassy strain it reads as brightness rather than citrus.
🌿
Beta-Myrcene
Second, and the weight you feel. Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis by a distance.
🌶
Beta-Caryophyllene
Third, peppery, and the only terpene known to bind a cannabinoid receptor directly.
🔌
Ceramic Core, 510 Thread
Even heat and a standard thread, so whatever battery is in your drawer already fits it.
🚫
Nothing But Oil and Terps
No PG, no VG, no MCT oil, no Vitamin E acetate. Oil and terpenes, and nothing stretching either one.
Science Corner: What Indica Actually Means
We call this one an indica, and a 2021 paper in Nature Plants is the reason we are careful about what that word is doing. Researchers ran over 100 cannabis samples through terpene and cannabinoid testing plus genotyping at more than 100,000 genetic markers. Samples labelled sativa and samples labelled indica turned out to be genetically indistinct across the genome. The labels tracked something narrower: variation in a handful of terpenes, controlled by clusters of terpene synthase genes. So indica is not describing ancestry here. It is shorthand for a terpene pattern, which is why we print the terpene order on every page instead of leaving you with one word. PubMed PMID 34650264.
How It Works and How Much To Start With
Vapor reaches you in about two minutes and finishes arriving by fifteen, which normally makes a cart the easiest format to judge. King Louis XIII bends that rule. It is heavy enough that the gap between the first draw and the full effect is where people get themselves into trouble, taking a third puff on the evidence of the first.
So the honest instruction on this one is stricter than usual: one draw, ten minutes, then decide. Effects taper across two to three hours. Nothing about that is unpleasant if you planned for it.
| Format | Onset | How long | Character |
| King Louis THCa cart, sold here | 2 to 5 minutes | 2 to 3 hours | Heavy, arrives sooner than expected |
| King Louis THCa disposable | 2 to 5 minutes | 2 to 3 hours | Identical oil and curve |
| THCa flower | Under 2 minutes | 1 to 2 hours | Quickest on, shortest tail |
| THCa prerolls | Under 2 minutes | 1 to 2 hours | Same lift, fixed dose |
| Delta 8 carts | 2 to 5 minutes | 2 to 3 hours | Considerably milder |
| Edibles | 30 to 90 minutes | 4 to 6 hours | Slowest on, hardest to judge |

King Louis XIII THCa Cart FAQ
It’s a full gram of King Louis XIII live resin THCa oil on a 510 thread, one strain and nothing blended into it. King Louis XIII is an indica, and about as far into indica as our menu goes. Live resin means the flower was frozen the day it came down rather than dried first, which is how the gas note survives extraction instead of disappearing with the moisture. You can’t recover that smell once it’s gone. Plenty of people type this as king louie, king louie xiii or just king louis 13, and every one of those lands here. The cart threads onto any standard 510 battery, so no proprietary hardware and nothing to adapt. If you own a battery, you own everything this needs.
Straight gas, with pine and damp earth sitting behind it and a faint sweetness on the exhale. That fuel register is the OG Kush half of the parentage announcing itself, and it’s the reason the people who love this strain don’t love it casually. They came for the fuel. There’s nothing candied or fruity happening anywhere in it. If your last three carts were dessert flavors, this will read almost savory by comparison, and that’s the appeal. On a cart the gas comes through cleaner than it does on flower because combustion smoke isn’t layered over the top of it. If sweet is what you want, our Runtz cart is the opposite end of the menu, and nobody will judge you for owning both.
Every THCa cart in the line falls in the 22 to 28% THCa band, so the number isn’t what separates this one. The character is, and it’s the part nobody warns you about. King Louis XIII arrives fast and lands in the body first, which is unusual for something this heavy, since most dense indicas take their time getting there. That combination catches people out. A draw that felt mild at minute one isn’t mild at minute five, and you won’t get to undo the second one. Take one, put the cart down, and give it a full ten minutes before you reach for it again. If indicas are new to you entirely, halve whatever you were planning and see where that lands you first.
Night, and I’d rather say that plainly than hedge it into uselessness. This is the heaviest thing on our cart menu, it goes to the body rather than the head, and it does not leave much room for a to-do list afterward. A cleared afternoon works. A Tuesday at two o’clock with three calls booked does not. There’s an oddly cranial edge that comes off the OG Kush side, so it isn’t purely sedating, but don’t mistake that edge for something that keeps you useful. If you want something that relaxes without closing the day down, Runtz sits in the middle of the menu and Durban Poison holds down the daytime end of it, and either one will let you keep working.
One cart is $60 for a full gram. Two come to $100 and three come to $150, saving you $20 and $30 against buying them one at a time. Subscribe and save runs 20 percent off the first order and 15 percent off everything after, cancellable whenever. No battery is bundled, because anyone shopping 510 carts usually owns one already. If you don’t, our batteries page has four that fit. Measured per gram this is the cheapest way into the strain once hardware is sorted. The all-in-one disposable opens at the same price and includes the battery, which makes it the better arithmetic on a first order. After that the cart wins on price every single time, which is why most people end up here eventually.
Low. Our own battery guide puts the useful band at 2.5 to 3.0 volts, and a live resin cart belongs at the bottom of it. Heat strips terpenes, and here the terpenes are the gas you paid for, so running it hot costs you the exact thing that makes this King Louis XIII rather than generic indica oil. It also darkens the oil sooner. Thread it on finger-tight and stop there, since overtightening is the single most common reason a cart refuses to fire. Any 510 battery works. All four of ours carry adjustable voltage and a one-year warranty, so finding the low band takes one click rather than guesswork. Charge it fully before you take the first draw of a new cart.
Two to three weeks is typical for someone taking a few draws in an evening, and a good deal less if it gets passed around. Keep it upright with the cap on, somewhere cool and dark. Upright is the part people skip, and a cart left on its side long enough floods the airway until the draw turns harsh. Warmth ages the oil faster than time does, so a glovebox in summer will cost you more than a month in a drawer. If the oil stiffens in a cold room, hold the cart in your hand for a minute rather than reaching for anything warmer to speed it along. Warm hands work fine and cost nothing. No flames, ever, under any circumstances.
Yes, and you should treat that as settled rather than probable. Urine screens look for THC metabolites and have no way to tell a hemp-derived product from anything else, so federally compliant makes no difference at the lab. Detection windows depend on frequency of use, body composition and the cutoff the panel is set to, which is why nobody honest will give you a number. Someone who uses it twice a month might clear in days. Someone using it nightly can stay positive for weeks, and that’s not a small range. If a test is coming and it matters, skip this product entirely. We would rather lose the order than have it cost you a job you needed to keep. That’s the whole answer.
In most states you can. Hemp-derived products under 0.3 percent Delta 9 THC by dry weight are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, and that’s what this cart is. Individual states layer their own rules on top, and some restrict THCa or hemp vapes regardless of the federal position. Our shipping list stays current and checkout stops you if we can’t reach your address, which makes it a far more reliable answer than anything written on a page months ago. Ordering requires you to be 21 or older. Orders leave the facility within 48 hours, and if your state moved its rules recently the checkout knows about it well before this page does. Put it in the cart and enter your address if you’re unsure.
Same oil in both, so this comes down to hardware and how often you plan to reorder. This cart needs a 510 battery you already own, which makes it cheapest per gram over time. The King Louis XIII THCa disposable arrives charged with the battery built in, so it costs the same to start and asks nothing of you. If it’s your first purchase, take the disposable. If you’re reordering, or you’ve already got batteries, take the cart. For lineage and the King Louie spelling question the strain profile goes further, and Slurricane is the nearest indica we carry if you want something in the same weight class but sweeter about getting there. Same oil, same hardware, different mood entirely.
Gas, pine and damp earth, in the format that costs the least per gram.
