FAQS

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the dozens of “cannabinoids” found in the cannabis plant – molecular compounds that interact with your brain receptors, creating a psychological or neurological response. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid associated with health and wellness benefits such as decreased anxiety, a restful night’s sleep, reduced inflammation and more.Tribe Brands products contain CBD derived from hemp cultivated in the USA and are also manufactured, processed and shipped from the USA. We use no harmful chemicals in our products. Our vapes DO NOT contain Vitamin E, PG, PEG, VG, or MCT oil.

How does CBD work?

When applied topically, CBD can interact with the cannabinoid receptors in your skin for relief from short-term setbacks like strains, cramps and bruises, in addition to longer-term pain from arthritis or carpal tunnel. When ingested or vaped, CBD can bind to certain receptors to trigger a neural connection through the brain’s synapses. Some of these effects are believed to bring about therapeutic sensations for those suffering from stress and anxiety.

How much CBD should I take?

It’s important to know that everyone metabolizes CBD differently. If you have never used a CBD tincture or know you are sensitive to it, you may want to start with as low as 5MG initially. It may take some testing to determine what the right amount is for your body, based on your goals. For context, our team internally at TribeTokes takes about a 20mg dose 2-3x per day (20 hits on a vape or ~1 full dropper of our 500MG tincture). If you are consuming in response to a condition such as inflammation, pain or anxiety, one may find it more effective to take up to 50mg in a dose. We recommend you consult with a doctor before using to treat any serious illnesses or conditions.

What is the difference in isolate CBD oil and whole plant / full spectrum CBD oil?

Full spectrum or whole plant extract contains oil with most of the plant’s original compounds including the other cannabinoids, terpenes and plant waxes to create a full spectrum, whole plant formula. Researchers theorize that when all of the phytocannabinoids and terpenes are combined the therapeutic result is greater than any single compound used alone, commonly known as the “Entourage Effect.”

How do you take a CBD tincture?

Tinctures are gaining in popularity because they are easy to use and appeal to nearly all demographics. Simply hold under your tongue, or add to any juice or smoothie. The CBD should enter your system within 15-45 minutes. Carrier oils such as MCT Oil can increase the bioavailability / absorption of CBD into our bloodstream by a factor of 3-4x when ingested, because cannabinoids dissolve in lipids. MCT oil has 6-9x more lipids than olive oil or hemp oil.

When using the Vape Oil, how do I know how much CBD I’m getting?

How much CBD depends on how hard and long you pull on your vape, so it’s hard to know for sure – but we’ve put together the rough math for you to use as a guide! A half gram cartridge has 200mg+ of CBD. There is an estimated 100 pulls per cart, which equals ~2MG of CBD per pull, or 5 pulls per 10mg of CBD. We recommend holding the vapor in your lungs for ~2-3 seconds before releasing for maximum absorption.

How do I know TribeTokes products are clean?
