What’s In a Starter Kit, And Why
A starter kit is the simplest entry into vaping a hemp cannabinoid. This one bundles the TribeTokes cat-shaped vape pen with a full-gram THCa cartridge in whichever strain you choose. The pen is reusable; the cart is consumable. Daily users refill every couple of weeks. Occasional users stretch a cart for months. TribeTokes’ THCa carts contain THCa-rich oil with strain-specific terpenes: high in THCa, terpene-forward, full-flavor, and customer-described as smooth. The carts are third-party lab tested for cannabinoid content and contaminants (results posted at /certificates-of-analysis/). The hardware and the oil are spec-matched: built to the same 510-thread standard so they connect cleanly out of the box, and the voltage range is already calibrated for the oil’s consistency. How To Use the Starter Kit
Attach the cartridge. Unbox the cart and remove the rubber cap from the bottom. Screw the cart onto the top of the Vape Kitty battery, hand-tight until you feel resistance. Don’t overtighten. That damages the cart’s base and makes the battery misread the contact, which leads to weak hits or no firing. The kit’s cart and battery share the same 510-thread spec. They’re built to fit each other.
Power on the Vape Kitty. Click the button five times in quick succession. The sunglasses LED lights up to show the battery is active. Three more clicks cycles through the three voltage settings: low for flavor-forward hits, medium for default use, high for bigger clouds. Five clicks again to power off. The Vape Kitty is button-activated, not draw-activated, so you have to hold the button down while inhaling. This prevents accidental firing in a pocket, bag, suitcase, or anywhere it gets jostled.
Take the first hit. Hold the button down while inhaling slowly for two to three seconds. The cart will heat up and produce vapor. Inhale into your lungs (don’t just hold it in your mouth like a cigar; that defeats the purpose). Wait a few seconds between hits to let the cart cool and the oil resaturate the coil. For your first time with this cart and strain, take a single two-second pull, wait ten minutes, assess how you feel, and only then decide if you want a second hit. New cannabinoid plus new strain equals take it slow.
Charge when the LED warns you. The sunglasses LED changes color when the battery drops to about 20% remaining. Plug the included USB cable into the base of the battery and into any USB outlet. Charging takes 60 to 90 minutes from empty to full. The LED pulses while charging and goes solid when full. Unplug once charged. Trickle-charging past full slowly degrades the cell over time.
