But if a THCa vape is flagged during screening, TSA is required to refer the matter to law enforcement. At that point, the outcome depends on the airport’s jurisdiction. Flying out of a state that has banned THCa products creates meaningful legal exposure even if your product is federally compliant.
Practical rules if you choose to fly with a THCa vape: keep it in your carry-on, not checked luggage (lithium batteries must be in carry-on per FAA rules anyway). Carry the COA on your phone.
