What Is Inside a GG4 Eighth
Whole THCa flower and nothing else. The resin that gave GG4 its name is where the diesel and pine live, so the less you do to the bud, the more of it you taste. Want to compare it with Gary Payton and Animal Mints? See all our hybrid THCa flower.
🌿
THCa, tested per batch
Third-party tested. The batch figure goes on our lab page the day the report lands.
🌶
Caryophyllene
Known for leading GG4. It’s the pepper and the gas on the first pull.
🍃
Myrcene
Usually second, and the one people credit for the heavy, settled body feel.
🍋
Limonene
The small citrus lift that keeps all that weight from reading flat.
🧪
Delta 9 THC, 0.3% or less
Hemp-derived, well inside the federal dry-weight ceiling, and confirmed by an outside lab.

Nothing Added
Nothing sprayed, nothing infused, nothing painted on after cure. Every flavor here came off the plant.
Science Corner: GG4 THCa Flower
Caryophyllene is the terpene GG4 is known for leading with, and it’s an unusual molecule. Gertsch and colleagues (2008) found that beta-caryophyllene binds selectively to the CB2 receptor, part of the body’s endocannabinoid system, which made it the first common dietary compound shown to act that way (PMID 18574142). That’s one lab finding about one molecule, not a promise about your evening. It’s still a good reason to look past the potency number and pay attention to which terpenes lead a strain.
How It Works and How Much To Start With
Smoked flower arrives fast: the first effects land within minutes and the main stretch runs about two to three hours. You know where you stand before you decide on more.
GG4 tends to open with a short lift in the head, then the body catches up, and that second part is what people remember. It’s the strain people most often say snuck up on them, so give the first hit a full fifteen minutes.
Harvest, tolerance, food and how deep you pull all move the result. Two harvests never smoke identically, so judge each jar on its own.
| Intensity | Amount | Who it suits |
| Light | A few small pulls | New to flower, or new to heavy hybrids |
| Moderate | A partial bowl | Regular smokers, a quiet night in |
| Strong | A full bowl | Experienced, high tolerance, nowhere to be |
| This product | Eighth (3.5g), batch figure on our lab page | Third-party lab tested, results on our lab page |

GG4 THCa Flower FAQ
GG4, also sold as Original Glue, is an indica-leaning evening hybrid with a sharp diesel and pine nose over an earthy base, sold here as indoor whole flower by the eighth.
It’s indoor hemp flower from GG4, sold as whole, hand-trimmed buds in a 3.5 gram eighth. GG4 came out of an accidental cross around 2014: a Chem’s Sister plant pollinated a Sour Dubb, and the surviving seeds were later crossed with Chocolate Diesel to create the Glue family. GG4 is the sibling that stuck, and it has been in near-permanent rotation ever since. THCa is the acid form of THC that the living plant makes. Every batch we sell tests at 0.3% or under for Delta 9 THC by dry weight. What ships is intact buds, not ground material or shake. If you’ve been waiting for GG4 since it showed up on our strain profile, this is the jar.
Loud. Open the jar and it’s sharp diesel and sour pine, closer to a workshop than a fruit bowl, with a damp, earthy base underneath. On the inhale it’s mostly pine and pepper; the exhale brings a sour chemical note forward, and that’s the part that divides people. Nothing about it reads sweet. If you like Sour Diesel and want the same gas with a body attached, this is that strain. Smoke it slowly, because hot, hard pulls flatten the pine and leave only the fuel. Like most resin-heavy strains, it smells strong enough that anyone nearby will know exactly what you opened.
A hybrid that leans indica hard enough that plenty of people assume it’s one. Published genetics put it near a 63 percent indica split, which is why some menus file it as indica and others as hybrid. In practice the indica side does most of the work: a short head lift first, then real weight across the body. That makes it a late-afternoon or evening jar, not a get-things-done one. People reach for it at the end of a long day, for a quiet night in, or to sit through something long on the couch. It’s the wrong pick before anything that needs you sharp. If you want the same gas without the weight, Sour Diesel is the daytime version.
Strong, and it earned that reputation through how it hits more than through any number on a label. GG4 has been the benchmark other heavy strains get measured against for about a decade, because the body effect arrives fast and sits heavy. We’ll post this batch’s tested THCa on our lab page as soon as the report is in. Until then, judge it by character: it’s the strain people most often say snuck up on them. If you’re new to flower or to heavier hybrids, take one or two small pulls and give it fifteen minutes before deciding on more. You can always have more, but you can’t have less.
An eighth is priced in the buy box above, and bundles bring the per-jar cost down: two eighths cost less than two singles, and three cost less again, up to 10.5 grams in one order. You Pick 2 and You Pick 3 let you pair GG4 with any other strain on the flower line at the same bundle rate, which is a good way to try it next to something lighter. A subscription takes a discount on your first and second orders, and it makes sense once you know you’ll reorder. Every route pulls from the same tested supply, and there are no quality tiers on our flower. Every jar is indoor, hand-trimmed whole bud, so you’re only choosing how much and how varied.
Yes. GG4 was originally sold as Gorilla Glue #4, and it’s the same cultivar under a different name. After the adhesive company brought a trademark claim, the two sides settled in 2017, and the cannabis side agreed to drop the name and imagery by September 2018. The strains were renamed GG1, GG4 and GG5. Nothing about the plant changed, only the label on the jar. You’ll also see it sold as Original Glue or just Glue. GG1 is the lighter sibling, and GG5, sometimes called New Glue, is the sweeter one. GG4 carries the most weight of the three and is the one the whole family is known for.
In the jar it came in, lid on, somewhere cool and dark. Every time you open it a little aroma leaves, so open it when you’re going to smoke and close it right after. Heat and light pull terpenes out faster than time does, which rules out the car, the windowsill and the top of the fridge, and the fridge itself causes humidity swings that do more harm than good. GG4’s resin helps it hold up, but the pine is the first thing to fade. When the jar smells like fuel and earth with no pine left, it has been sitting too warm or opened too often. Stored well, an eighth keeps its character for months.
Yes. Smoking THCa flower produces THC metabolites, and standard urine, blood and hair tests are built to find exactly those. Hemp-derived or not, bought online or not, the test can’t tell the difference. If a job, a license, a sport or a court requirement depends on a clean result, the only plan that reliably works is not using THC products at all. Skip the detox drinks and timing tricks. How long THC stays detectable depends on how often you use, how much, and your own body, so there’s no honest number of safe days, and regular smokers should think in weeks, not days. NORML tracks testing policy by state.
Federally, yes. Federal hemp law draws the line at 0.3% Delta 9 THC by dry weight, and hemp under it is federally permitted. We test every batch against that line and post the results on our lab page. State law is what actually decides your order: rules differ by state, a few restrict THCa flower specifically, and they change often enough that any list here would go stale fast. Check your state and city before ordering, because local rules decide what can arrive at your door whatever the federal position. We ship to most states, so look yours up first, then order with the answer in hand.
It’s the heaviest jar on the hybrid shelf, the one for people who want gas and a body effect to go with it. Gary Payton is the closest match on flavor, gassy and peppery with a little sweetness, but it sits lighter. Jealousy is another evening pick, creamy rather than gassy. Sour Diesel has the same diesel nose pointed at daytime instead. Every jar on the line is built the same way: indoor, hand-trimmed whole bud, tested per batch, so you’re really choosing flavor and pace. Rolled versions live on the preroll shelf, and the full origin story is on the GG4 strain profile.
Sold by the eighth, cheaper by the bundle, and third-party lab tested like the rest of the line.
